复旦大学是国家教育部直属全国重点大学， “211工程”、“985 工程”重点建设高校。现代人类学教育部重点实验室于2005年12月获准建设，2008年7月1日通过验收。实验室围绕人群遗传结构研究及其应用，在现代人群遗传结构、人类分子进化、计算生物学、体质人类学、古代人类DNA研究、分子流行病学、语言民族和考古学等方向开展多学科交叉研究。该实验室成立仅五年，已成为在国内外学术界具有重要影响力的人类学研究基地，在2010年生命科学领域教育部重点实验室评估中被评为优秀类实验室。( \$ G/ E& j# ?& S9 K7 J; S

3 ^: i  k8 {' ~Fudan University is one of China’s key universities which are affiliated to the Ministry of Education (MOE). It is among the universities of “Project 211” and “Project 985”, which are aimed to promote the development of Chinese universities. The MOE Key Laboratory of Contemporary Anthropology (KLCA) was first approved by the national MOE in December of 2005, and passed the inspection and evaluation on July 1, 2008. KLCA is devoted to researches on human population genetics and inter-disciplinary fields encompassing the genetic structure of human populations, evolution and adaption of human genome, computational biology, physical anthropology, ancient DNA of humankind, molecular epidemiology, linguistic anthropology, ethnology, archaeological anthropology, etc. Although it has been established for only 5 years, the MOE-KLCA has become worldwide well-known in the research area of anthropology, and was evaluated as a key lab with the highest level during the MOE key laboratories evaluation., F- l! }, y# G' e5 O5 I6 n

Requested by the Ministry of Education, the Key Laboratory of Contemporary Anthropology will recruit a new director around the world. The criteria for the applicants are listed below:

l  The qualified candidate will have a research area in the genetic structure of human populations and/or its application.

l  In addition, he/she should have the experience as a professor in a world-famous university, Yangtze River Scholars or Scholars supported by China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists from top Chinese universities.- G5 [8 e* x1 h; v) ^0 E
