人类胚胎干细胞能分化为不同的体细胞。报告细胞系(Reporter cell lines) 能优先分化出研究着所需要的细胞类型。Nature Methods最新报道了,Elefanty和他同事发现的一种人类胚胎干细胞系-ErythRED。ErythRED受β球蛋白基因调控区序列控制。ErythRED表达仅局限于成熟的红细胞,因此可以用于检测体外红细胞分化,并确定体外胚胎干细胞转化为红细胞路径。
